1. It is an absolute fact that every where I go people marvel over my cool reading glasses around my neck. At a recent doctor appointment, the doctor called in his nurse to see them, she called in the x-ray tech and 2 more and I actually had an AUDIENCE !...just unreal. And while showing them all how they work and how durable my Clic's are, the glasses accidentally flew out of my hand right as a staff member was stepping backwards. She stepped on my glasses, everyone gasped and the funny thing was my glasses were fine ! By the time I was leaving the doctor's office (after a shot in my hand...ouch) half the staff were grouped around a computer, all online to order some ! L. Wilder, Gulf Shores
2. For anyone requiring reading glasses intermittently, these specs are heaven sent! The frame breaks in the front and clicks together once resting on your nose by way of two magnets. When not in use, they stay out of the way -- the glasses have a hard frame 'loop' that slips around your neck. As soon as you need them, you reach down and pull them up into place. I've tried lanyards -- they get caught on your seat belt strap and tangled around your collar. I've tried my pocket -- they fall out. Nothing seemed to work, so I ended up buying eight or ten pair of cheap glasses and leaving them all over: habitat, car, at work, etc. CliCs are a wonderful way to avoid all that clutter.-- D. 4. I love these glasses. I used to keep both reading glasses and sunglasses on chains around my neck and they constantly got tangled. Another problem with chains is when you lean forward the chain swings out and the glasses catch on stuff, you stand up then chain and/or glasses break apart. These glasses solve the problem. I ordered them for my husband to try, but I want my own now. Ladies--just wear them under your hair along your neckline ! (I live in land of big hair in the sunny south and we are NOT gonna wear anything that screws up our hair) Also, the reviewers that complained of the glasses not being large enuf--the metal arms of these glasses will extend in and out of the plastic portion and will fit all sorts of head sizes. It takes a good grip to pull the arms in or out to adjust--I think these other folks never tried that. Maybe the manufacturer should include a slip of paper on bright orange paper w/ those instructions for people who don't realize that they are adjustable.. and as to style, if this company is successful w/ these, maybe they'll add a cat-eye style like I'd like. But meanwhile, the extra convenience of these basic ones make up for the lack of jazzy colors and sparkly stones, etc...like my other reg. reading glasses. Try them. |
